This Maple we used was originally milled and slated for becoming guitar bodies but instead we turned them into one of a kind heirloom quality serving boards.
As each Serving board is unique, grain patterns will vary slightly in the figured maple from board to board. We’ve done out best to hand pick and match pieces so that after oiling, there is an almost a multi-dimensionally hypnotic aspect to the maple.
The added nickel top handles make the board easy to carry and add a beautiful accent.
Boards have mortise and tenon construction for durability and longevity if well maintained.
The boards come with low profile non-skid feet and stainless steel hardware. This is to keep the board raised to create air flow around the board and slightly raised off your surfaces.
These boards are finished with Walrus Cutting Board Oil, then top coated with Walrus Oil’s food grade finish wax.
